He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Lawson and Anna Belle Payne Lawson. He is survived by: his children, Michelle Brown (Patrick) of Wilmington, DE, Michael Lawson, Jr. (Vicky) of Hockessin, DE and Lorri Kinney (Patrick, Sr.) of Clayton, DE.; his grandchildren, Blake Brown (Stephanie), Allison Brown, Courtney Tracey (Tyler), Patrick Kinney, Jr., Alexander Lawson (Gia), Darian Kinney, Wyatt Brown, Matthew Lawson and John Lawson; his great grandchildren, Derrick, Jackson, Kendall, Skylar, Natalie, Hayden, Austin and Trent; and his brother Richard. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a vast network of friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mike's memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children (https://lovetotherescue.org) or to the Alzheimer's Association.
