She was predeceased by: her parents, Sara Smith (McGovern) and Harold Smith; her husband Francis J. "Mike" Sammons; her brothers, Harold Smith, Jr. and David Smith; and her daughter-in-law Kathy Sammons (Chuck).
She is survived by: her children, Francis J., Jr. (JoAnne Sammons), Ann (Scot Sowden), Michael (Kathy Sammons), Chuck Sammons of Lewes, DE, Joseph (Holly Sammons) and Sara (Perry Douglas); her sister-in-law Patricia Drzewicki (John) of Wilmington; and her grandchildren, Scot, Shane, Stephanie Sowden, Shannon Taylor, Kristin, Kelly, Michael, Amanda, Chuck, Joseph Sammons, Ryan, Cory, Kelsey, Travis and Trevor Douglas. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
