He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert McGhee and Sarah McGhee; his siblings, Chester, William McGhee, Mildred O'Hara and Mamie Pitts; his father-in-law Wilfred J. Smith, Sr.; and his nephew Walter Wood.
He is survived by: his wife Robin McGhee; his sister Joanne Harris (Franklin); his mother-in-law Shirley Smith; his siblings-in-law, Jim Smith (Joanmarie) and Cheryl Smith (Bobby); his nephew Brandon Smith (Brittany); and his nieces, Brandy Beauchamp, Jocelyn Haack (Matt), Jenna Smith, Jessica Smith, Debbie Scheet, Kimberly Gould (Eric) and Sara Dygert (Rob).
