He was predeceased by: his brother Albert. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his children, Gary Schaffer (Pam) and Wendi Schaffer-Coupe (John); his granddaughters, Leighann Avery (Johnnie) and Melissa Carter (Joe); his great grandchild Jayce; and his sisters, Rose Grello, Ann DiNicola and Doris Limina. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and cousins.
