She is survived by: her husband Victor Newman Sr.; her children, Carol, Victor Jr. (Butchie), Anthony (Tracy) and Robert (Jacquelyn); her grandchildren, Eria, Hakim, Derrick, Marques (CA), Latasha, Tonnesha, Kyle, Adrienne, Robyn, Tariq, Refka (GA) and Brittany (GA); her siblings, Charles Kent Jr. (Tiny), Donald Kent (NY), Audrey Stallworth (NY), Katherine Ojebuoboh (Kent) and Frances Blackmon (NY); her foster sister Julia Pritchett (Shuggie); her cousins, Renee and Milton Harrison (NC); and her friend Sheila Marlow. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
