He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis "Chip" Allen Bennett and Mary Irene Bennett; his wife F. Jean Bennett; and his half-brother Francis Hall (Burton Hodgdon). He is survived by: his son Craig Allen Bennett (Kristina Luisa Bennett); his grandchildren, Grantham Allen Bennett, Wren Marie Bennett and NJ; his son Blake Adam Bennett (Ayesha Chacko Bennett); and his grandchildren, Kaia Bennett and Grace Bennett.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Doherty Funeral Home - Pike Creek (3200 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dick may be made to Ducks Unlimited, 1 Waterfowl Way, Memphis, Tennessee 38120, otherwise eat a steak in his honor.
