With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Burns (Wilmington, Delaware), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 2, 2026 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Marie (Deeney) and William Burns; his wife Genevieve Burns (Moloney); and his siblings, Margaret Burns, Joan Montgomery, William and Joseph.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Williams (George), Francine Hepler (Jeffrey) and Robert Burns (Cassandra); and his grandchildren, Sarah, Jake, Eric, Julie, Courtney, Katelynn, Laura, Bryan and George. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and close family friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Bob's name to St. John the Beloved Church.
