He was predeceased by: his father Thomas Hitchens; his brothers, George, Paul and Thomas; and his son-in-law James Russell, Jr..
He is survived by: his daughters, Kathleen DiRocco (Matthew) and Sharon Russell (Stephen Sagan); his grandchildren, Tara Gryan (Brad), Jimmy Russell (Megan), Matthew DiRocco (Erica), Nicole Jornlin (Michael), Robert DiRocco (Logan) and Brianna Russell; and his siblings, Donald, James, Joan, Rosalie Hitchens and Patricia Hearn. He is also survived by his 12 great-grandchildren.
