He was predeceased by: his parents, John M. Cassels and Gladys J. Cassels; and his brother William S. Cassels. He is survived by: his wife Sheila; his children, John, Christopher and Elizabeth; and his grandsons, Milo, Colin Nygren-Cassels, Owen, Dylan and Wesley Aptekar-Cassels.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be offered in Bob's honor to the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute, Newark, Delaware.
