She was predeceased by: her parents, Mitchell Norwood Massie Sr. and Elinora Williams Massie Thompson; her stepfather Tommy Thompson; her grandparents, Mitchell L. Massie, Lucy Watson Massie, Roger Williams and Geneva Middleton Williams; her brothers, Mitchell Massie, Jr., Rollin Roger Massie and Lawrence Thompson; and her nephew Corey Horne Jones.
She is survived by: her husband Charles S. Thorne of Newark, Delaware; her daughter Angela M. Davis (Lamont) of Sewell; her stepson Charles White; her grandchildren, Preston-Andrew C. McCord of Newark, Delaware, Simone M. Stancil of West Hollywood, Alyssa L. Stancil of Newark and Shantel M. Davis of Sewell; her siblings, Michael Massie of Bronx and Tina Thibodeau (Peter) of Tampa, Florida; her sisters-in-law, Cheryl Covington and Linda Eleam; and her aunt Irene Pridgen. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
