She was predeceased by: her parents, Jamus Griffin and Constance Griffin; and her siblings, Jamus Griffin, Jr. and Larona Walls. She is survived by: her husband Andrew Shahadi; her children, Dennis McConnell, Jr. (Sarah), Brian McConnell, Jeremy Shahadi (Dana), Nicole Shahadi (Alan) and Benjamin Shahadi; her siblings, Michael Griffin (Shirley), Thomas Griffin (Janet) and Rick Griffin; and her grandchildren, Michael McConnell, Jeremy Shahadi, Jr., Ashlynn Boates, Elijah Shahadi and Dennis McConnell. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
