It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas C. Obenchain of Wilmington, Delaware, born in Oak Park, Illinois, who passed away on June 22, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Janet and Edgar (Obie); and his sister Nancy. He is survived by: his sisters, Patricia and Louise; his children, Thomas (Mia) and Michelle (Dale); his grandchildren, Xavier, Zane, Chloe and Olivia; and his close friend Catherine "Cathy" Murphy.

Tom also participated in preparing lunches for those in need at the Emmanuel Dining Hall once a week prior to COVID-19.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Thomas' name to a local heart health charity.
