It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willard B. Hutton of Wilmington, Delaware, who passed away on July 10, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Willard may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Willard touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Combs and Ernest T. Hutton; his wife Catherine Dougherty Hutton; and his son Gary D. Hutton. He is survived by: his daughter Linda C. Skelly (George Skelly) of Lancaster, PA; his brother Donald B. Hutton (Anne Hutton) of Rehoboth Beach, DE; his daughter-in-law Lisa Hutton of Newburg, IN; and his grandchildren, Patrick T. Skelly (Casey McIntosh) of Ellicott City, MD, Jennifer Hutton of Nashville, TN and Alexandra Skelly of Lancaster, PA..
Visitation was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Doherty Funeral Home - Pike Creek (3200 Limestone Rd, Wilmington, DE 19808). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Catholic Funeral Service.
