He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecilia Tyrrell (Harrington) and James Tyrrell. He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Tyrrell (Evans); his daughter Melissa; his son-in-law Michael Hurwitz; his granddaughter Laura Hurwitz; his sisters, Cecilia Watkins (Jack) and Mary Ann Stevenson (Jim Howard); and his pet Hobo. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Blood Bank of Delmarva.
