He was predeceased by: his parents, William Maxwell and Rebecca Graham Maxwell; and his siblings, Robert Maxwell, Peggy O'Neil and Ronald Maxwell.

He is survived by: his wife Helena Truszkowski Maxwell; his sons, Kevin Maxwell (Tiia) and Jason Maxwell (Jennifer); and his grandchildren, Taylor, Austin, Courtney, Caleb and Dallas.
