He was predeceased by: his wife Glenda Markham Hughes; his son Timothy Hughes; and his siblings, Billy Hughes, Betty Young and Lou Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Keith Maxwell (Cindy) of Henderson, Amy Fralick (Tony) of High Springs and Constance King of Black Mountain; his grandchildren, Allison Fralick, Tyson Fralick and Aubrey Fralick; and his sister Peg Pettingill of Johnson City, Tennessee..
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Spring Hill United Methodist Church (23300 Old Bellamy Rd, Alachua, FL 32615). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the same location.
