It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ricky Hunt of Alachua, Florida, born in Gainesville, Florida, who passed away on February 22, 2023, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Mae Retha "Teenie" and William Hunt; his grandparents, Susie Mae and Rayfield Campbell; his brother William James Campbell; his close friend Calvin Jonas; his wife Latasha Ross-Hunt; his children, Ja'Kayla Hunt, Leah Jackson and Ricky Joel Hunt of Alachua; and his sisters, Frances Hunt and Brigette Hunt-Sowell.

Ricky was a member of Foundation Chapel Church of God by Faith and attended services regularly, but he especially enjoyed watching his daughters participate in the youth services.
