It is with sadness that the passing of Thad Cason (Alachua, Florida) is shared. Thad, born on June 8, 1941 in Fort White, Florida, passed away on October 14, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Thad will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Thad by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Thad is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Thad’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Ellen Cason; and his parents, Tom Cason and Katherine Cason. He is survived by: his children, Kevin Lee Cason (Becky), Keith Cason (Donna) and Kim Young (Bill). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Forest Grove Cemetery (8100 NW 226th St, Alachua, FL 32615).
