It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jay Andrew Rintelmann (Altamonte Springs, Florida), born in Belvidere, Illinois, who passed away on February 7, 2026, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Julia Ann Rintelmann (Malone) and Richard Frederick Rintelmann; and his former wife Arlene Neil Rintelmann. He is survived by: his wife Yonna Jones Rintelmann; his children, Kristen Rintelmann, Peter Rintelmann (Cristina), Jonathan "Deke" Reynolds (Ashley) and Christopher Kelley (Ellisa); his grandchildren, Payton, Adison, Kadyn and Reagan; and his siblings, Ann Woodbeck, Katherine "Kit" Elmer, Thomas Rintelmann and Joseph "Joe" Hinrichs. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Jay's memory to the ALS Association in support of research so that no one else will ever have to hear the words, "You have ALS."And, in the way he said goodbye every time: SeeyouLoveyouBye.
