He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Lapins and Helga Lapins (Salijuma); and his sisters, Val Kreis and Inara Arias. He is survived by: his significant other Rhandy Turner; his children, Barrie Herman (Rich) of Decatur Georgia and Lannie Mathews (Curt) of Charlotte; and his grandchildren, Xander Herman of Decatur, Georgia, Mitchell Mathews of Charlotte and Inara Mathews of Charlotte.
