We announce the death of Lorene Newman Godwin of Altha, Florida, who passed away on November 3, 2026, at the age of 70. Lorene will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She is survived by: her husband John "JD" Godwin; her children, Jamie Meadors (Cherie), Christina Deegins (John) and Amanda Cernicek (Garrett); and her grandchildren, Tyler Carpenter, Taylor Meadors, McKenzie Meadors, Hayley Deegins, Harper Cernicek, Henry Cernicek, Kailyn, Mako, Cruz and Coral.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Adams Funeral Home Chapel (18034 Main St N, Blountstown, FL 32424). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
