It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Griffith Gilley of Amelia Island, Florida, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on October 2, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, W. W. Gilley and Sarah Elizabeth Griffith Gilley; and his brother David Michael Gilley of Atlanta, GA.. He is survived by : his wife Patricia B. Gilley of Amelia Island, FL; his daughter Stacie Gilley Holliman; his son-in-law Chris Holliman; his grandsons, Hunter Holliman of Amelia Island, FL and Ridge Holliman of Amelia Island, FL; his cousin Glenna Gilley Reed of Atlanta, GA; and his niece Erica Gilley Keating of Fayetteville, GA..

Donations may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association, University of Georgia, Fernandina Beach Youth Football Association, or the charity of your choice.
