He was predeceased by: his brother Emil "Butch" Hory; his siblings-in-law, Earl Ferguson, William Hendrickson, Frank "Skipper" Mauer, Mary Hendrickson and Karen Hory; and his parents, Emil Arthur Hory and Catherine Flynn Hory.
He is survived by: his wife Christine Ferguson Hory; his children, Donald J. Hory Jr., Christopher S. Hory and Marcie K. Hory; his grandchildren, Nathan F. Hory, Kaitlyn D Hory and Collin R. Hory; his sisters, Mary Ann Mauer and Eileen Corsini; and his siblings-in-law, Clyde Collier, Ray Corsini, Stella "Dolly" Ferguson and Frances Collier. He is also survived by his many nephews, nieces, grand nephews, and grand nieces.
