It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Early (Apopka, Florida), born in Marinette, Wisconsin, who passed away on May 15, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife Donna J. Early; his parents, William Early and Ruth Early; his siblings, Jack Early and Patricia Vanden Avond; his daughter-in-law Lynn Early; and his son Kevin T. Early.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Burkley-Kovacik Early; his stepchildren, Honey Burkley, Kenneth Burks (Beth) and Rebecca Kovacik; his stepgrandchildren, Lyric, Maren, Christian, Weston, Nathaniel and Georgia; his sister Maureen Ruzika (Bruce); his brother-in-law Andy Vanden Avond; his nephews, Patrick Early and Sean Early (Dawn); his niece Meghan Swint (Jim); and his grandchildren, Bailey, Nicholas Early, Jake, Shae Swint and Angela Wenberg.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Kevin T. Early Memorial Scholarship, a scholarship given each year to recognize and encourage a talented freshman poet.
