He was predeceased by: his parent Thaddeous Kawalewski; and his half-sister Barbara Oakley. He is survived by: his wife Mildred; his children, John A., Jr., Brenda Weaver (Larry), Thomas M. (Linda) and Jodie Coveleski Sturges; his stepchildren, Ceecee Beebe (Larry), Karen Wingfield (Victoria) and Edward Wingfield; and his sister Theresa Wall. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren.
