It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Boyd Eugene Nelson of Avon Park, Florida, who passed away on September 23, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer E. Nelson and Marian Nelson (Rhoades); his sister Virginia Falk (John) of Waterford, PA.; and his children, Kimberly McCormick (Owen) of Erie, PA., Pamela Stumpo (James) of Sebring, FL., Jeffrey Nelson (Kris) of Edinboro, PA. and Mark Nelson (April) of Lake City, PA..
He is survived by: his siblings, Warren Nelson (Phyllis) of New Kensington, PA., Norma Dunton (late Donald) of Jonesboro, AR, Darlene Tysiachney (Daniel) of Edinboro, PA. and Muriel Reighard (James) of Albion, PA.; his wife Catherine Nelson (Kay Komoroski); and his grandchildren, Owen McCormick (Anna), Julia Stripe (Thomas), Mary Herman (Zachary), Gerard McCormick (Julianna), Patrick McCormick, Jacob Adams (Jenna), Thomas Adams, Stephanie Gwinn (Timothy), Andrew Nelson (Abby), Tyler Nelson, Benjamin Nelson (Kara) and Caroline Nelson.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church (128 Sunset Dr, Edinboro, PA 16412). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. John's Church (240 Bleecker St, Utica, NY 13501).
