She was predeceased by: her parents, William Aldon and Grace Gillilan (Hathcock); her husband James "Jim" Ivey Jr.; and her siblings, Thelma "Dean" Suggs, Martha Gillilan (Lynn) of Sebring, Florida., Ernest "Buck" Gillilan and William Gillilan Jr..

She is survived by: her son J. T. Ivey (Liz) of Orlando, Florida; and her brother Charles Gillilan.
