She was predeceased by : her son Isaac Ruiz; and her siblings, Roberto Ruiz Ruiz and Maria Magdalena. She is survived by : her husband Berto Rivera; her children, Yaileene Cordero of Connecticut, Ivan Cordero of Connecticut and Jeremy Cordero of Connecticut; her parents, Milagros "Mandy" Acevedo of Connecticut and James Ruiz "Papi Cano" (Nilsa Ruiz) of Fort Meade; her siblings, Jaime Ruiz Acevedo, Jaime Ruiz Ruiz, Luis Angel Ruiz Ruiz, Alberto Ruiz Ruiz, Yanira Ruiz Acevedo, Milagros Loperena Acevedo, Neshmayda Rodriguez Ruiz, Lizbeth Rodriguez Ruiz, Heidi Rodriguez Ruiz and Pricela Ruiz; and her grandchildren, Bella Jenice Cordero and Luka Cruz.
