Elisabeth Mooney Obituary

We announce the death of Elisabeth Mooney of Baker, Florida, who passed away on August 15, 2026, at the age of 97. Elisabeth will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Johann Winkler and Theresa Maurer Winkler-Dreher; her husband Richard S. Mooney; and her siblings, Maria Palmer, Theresa Stephens, Mathias Winkler and Franzie J. Winkler.

She is survived by: her sister Marianne Stienhauser (Walter); her children, Richard A. Mooney (Yvonna L. Mooney) of El Reno, Oklahoma and Ruth A. Stokes (Charles Thayer) of Baker, Florida; her grandsons, William Brent Stokes of Laurel Hill, Florida and William Art Mooney; her stepgrandson Mike Sharp (Amelia); her children, Hayden, Colin and Sophia; her great grandchild Mason W. Sharp; and her great great grandchild Waylon Sharp.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Emerald Coast Hospice Care.
