She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Meldrum and Mary Meldrum (Rowe); and her son Anthony Craig Carey. She is survived by: her husband John Carey; her siblings, James Meldrum (Joannie) and Adelia Meyer; and her daughters, Karen Smith (James K. Smith) and Nancy Bowler (Terry Bowler). She is also survived by eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
