She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville Brightman and Marie Brightman (Sutter); and her brother Ronnie Denning (Margie). She is survived by: her husband Jerry Cook of Bartow; her children, Dallas Cook (Kim Strayer) of Bartow, Billy Keene of Bartow, Dewayne Cook of Bartow and Kim Sweet of Bartow; her grandchildren, Deanna Sweet-Player (Jonathan), Dannie Sweet and Ellie Cook; her great grandchildren, Gavin Player and Jaxson Player; and her brother Ricky French (Bonnie).
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Whidden-McLean Funeral Home (650 E Main St, Bartow, FL 33830). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church (6210 Mt Pisgah Rd, Fort Meade, FL 33841).
