She was predeceased by: her parents, Lavon Claxton and Ruby Lee Claxton; her daughter Julie Odom; and her siblings, Irene Pullen, Maxine Helms, Linda Evans, Shirley Locke and Marvin Claxton.

She is survived by: her children, Jerri Moses, Diana Wilkinson, Sarah Pearce, Gerald Odom, Jr. and Pamela Harler (Gerald Odom, Sr.); and her sisters, Carolyn Claxton, Janie Colson and Patricia Randall.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Whidden-McLean Funeral Home (650 E Main St, Bartow, FL 33830). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
