With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jeannette Duke of Bartow, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 6, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Jeannette departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Jeannette. Though Jeannette may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her former husband Earley Ray Weeks; her husband Percy Duke; and her siblings, Cecil "Bud" Jackson and Merline Griner. She is survived by: her children, Robert Weeks (Robin) of Lakeland and Regena Breitzman (Paul) of Bartow; her stepdaughters, Lorena Duke and Mary Frances Grimes (Tim) of Opp, AL; and her brother Royce Jackson (Barbara) of Bartow. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Whidden-McLean Funeral Home (650 E Main St, Bartow, FL 33830). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
