He is survived by: his father Johnny Guthrie; his brothers, Johnny Wayne Guthrie and Freddie Mac Guthrie; his wife Gayle Guthrie; his daughter Angela Guthrie Hilligoss; his son-in-law Shane; his granddaughters, Lindsey and Kara; his brother Larry Guthrie; and his cousins, Cecilia Speight and Jackie Harrison. He is also survived by extended family members, and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Whidden-McLean Funeral Home (650 E Main St, Bartow, FL 33830). A burial will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at the Florida National Cemetery.
Fittingly, one of Terry's final wishes was to donate his truck to a veteran in need—a final act of kindness that brought together his generous heart and the lasting importance of his own military service.
