With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leon J. LaClair of Bartow, Florida, born in Ellenburg, New York, who passed away on October 19, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving F. LaClair and Victoria P. LaClair; and his siblings, Buelah Vincent, Margarie Mannering, Marie Ellis, Linda LaClair, Francis, Bob, Steve and Louis LaClair.
He is survived by: his wife LaQuitta "Kay" LaClair; his children, Vicky Collier, Bryan LaClair, Lisa Brooks (Bob) and David LaClair (Heather); his grandchildren, Chrysten Buttiglieri (Laura), Stephenie Hartnagel, Vanessa Triou (Jesse), Jenna Monserrat (Angel), Chad Collier (Chelsea), Bobby Brooks, Emily LaClair and Natalie LaClair; and his brother Earl LaClair (Paula). He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Whidden-McLean Funeral Home (650 E Main St, Bartow, FL 33830). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St Thomas Catholic Church (1305 E Mann Rd, Bartow, FL 33830).
