It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Hagler of Bascom, Florida, born in Alford, Florida, who passed away on February 23, 2026, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband Charles Hagler; her daughter Scarlett; her son-in-law Holt Floyd; her grandchildren, Kacee Floyd, Karlee Floyd, Dillon Burnsed, Harrison and Ruby Floyd; her great grandchildren, JC Pittman and Harvey Burnsed; her sister Charlene; her brother-in-law Jim McGowan; her stepmother Toi Morse; Doris, Lester Glick, Stan Morse, Tally, Zoa Kent, Calvin Stanley and Lessie Mae Morse.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Malone School Library – a place that reflected so much of Phyllis's heart for students and lifelong learning.
