Though James may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those James touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his mother Mary McKay; and his siblings, Patrick T. McKay and Donna J. Rodgers. He is survived by: his wife Denise; his father Pat McKay; and his siblings, Michael A. McKay and Mary Ann McKay. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Theresa Catholic Church (1107 Commercial Way, Spring Hill, FL 34607). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Aripeka Elks Lodge 2520 (9135 Denton Ave, Hudson, FL 34667).
In lieu of flowers a contribution to his favorite charity Tunnel to Towers will be appreciated.
