She was predeceased by : her parents, James Ira and Florence Sewell; her former life partner Curtis Stokes; her husband Durwood Stokes; her sisters, Aline Rose, Othella Duncan Manning and Bobbie Jean Braxton; and her granddaughter Holly Kolmetz.
She is survived by : her children, Paul Stokes (Sandi), Blonza Layfield (William), Janice Sumner (Earnie) and Debbie Kolmetz (Robert). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
