She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Herring and Dicie Mae Herring; her sons, Frederick and Alvin Whitehead; her siblings, Houston Herring, James Lord, Betty Edwards, Francis Cesaroni, Laverne Sanders and Denise Bradford; and her grandson Richard Whitehead.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Jeter, Michelle Lawson (Melvin), Rose Kiel (Wallie) and Melanie Malfe (John); her sister Ann Wadsworth; and her grandchildren, Regina, Roland, Mindy, Katelyn and Brandon. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
