He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Alexander Farrell of Brooklyn and Helene Martha Farrell of Brooklyn; and his brothers, Henry Joseph Farrell and Robert Michael Farrell. He is survived by: his wife Mary Rose Farrell; and his siblings, Anne Helene Markoe (Richard), Margaret Elizabeth Longazel (Dennis), Noreen Helen Kelly (David) and Dennis Lawrence Farrell (Elizabeth). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
