It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gerard R. Latortue of Boca Raton, Florida, who passed away on February 27, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Latortue; his daughter Gaielle Latortue; his son-in-law George Kabwe; his daughters, Stephanie Latortue and Alexia Latortue; his grandchildren, Lorenz Driza, Galen Kabwe and Graciana Kabwe; his brother Paul R. Latortue (Lizzie Albino); and his nieces and nephews, Renée Pierre, Charles-Gérard Barthole, Paul-Albert Barthole, Fabiola Louis, Pascale Hogu, Paula Latortue Albino and Françoise Adebayo-Latortue.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution gift may be made to the Gérard R. Latortue scholarship fund to support a student from Haiti or of Haitian descent in their studies at The Fletcher School, Tufts University.
