She is survived by: her children, Dr. Cynthia Mears Bacalao and Richard C. Mears, III (Ricky); her grandchildren, Dr. Emily Bacalao, Andrew Bacalao and Grace Mears; her daughter Joy Mears; and her brother Robert Panfil. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
