He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Alma Thompson Burkett; his children, Bob Burkett (Arlene) and Cindy Hutchison (Bob); his daughter-in-law Natalie Burkett; his son Bill Burkett; his sister Frankie Bassett; his grandchildren, Martha Brackett (Jason), Robert Hutchison (Courtney), Brad Burkett (Hiromi), Mary Veira (Michael), Amy Ruhmann (Brad), Angela Young (Tim), Daniel Hutchison, Rebecca Tisci (Anthony), Sara Beth Bryant (Hunter), Anna Burkett and Will Burkett; and his parents, J. D. Burkett and Claudie Mae Hodge Burkett. He was also cherished by his family and friends.
