He was predeceased by : his son Octavio Periu; his parents, Oscar Periu and Flora Periu (Victoria); his siblings, Oscar Periu (Pillo) and Amanda (Tia China); his brother-in-law Arnaldo; his daughter-in-law Helen Periu; and his parents-in-law, Emilio and Maria Rodriguez (Morciego).
He is survived by : his wife Nelida R Periu of Boca Raton; his children, Oduardo (Ed), Omar Periu of Boca Raton, Dr Osmany Periu (Debbie) of Boca Raton and Nellie Lemon (Richard) of Costa Rica; his grandchildren, Julie McMahon (Pete) of Huntington, NY, Eric Periu (Shevaun Gandy) of Miami, Alexandra, Maxwell Periu of Boca Raton, Austin Periu (Rebecca) of Boca Raton, Taylor Periu (Joseph Fox) of Ballground, GA and Richie Lemon (Melissa) of Boca Raton; and his great grandchildren, Amelia McMahon, Haylee Lemon and Breck Periu.
