She is survived by: her children, Lori Gelay, David Modlin and Jaclyn Torres; her son-in-law Javier Torres; her stepson Ron Waltman; her grandchildren, Andie Zona (Phil Zona), Joe Gelay (Bree Gonzalez), Helena Torres, Jake Torres and Olivia Torres; and her great grandchildren, Jack Zona and Cameron Zona.
To honor her passion for democracy and social justice, the family asks that contributions be made to the Democratic Party in her memory in lieu of sending flowers.
