He is survived by: his children, Michael Smith and Jaclyn Rutkowski; his grandsons, Ricky Smith, Andrew and Matthew Rutkowski; and also, Ellen Nelson, Jane Denniger (Patrick), David Smith (Pat), MaryJo, Don Smith (Donna) and Debi Zieche (Ron). He is also survived by 7 siblings.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Coral Ridge Funeral Home (950 Chiquita Blvd S, Cape Coral, FL 33991). The military honors was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at the Sarasota National Cemetery (9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL 34241).
