It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Blonnie Leavins Monk of Bonifay, Florida, who passed away on June 13, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Onie Leavins and Voncille Clemmons Leavins; her husbands, Jack Lawhorn, Sr. and Monk; her brother O'Neal Leavins; and her grandson Brett Elledge.
She is survived by: her children, Jack Lawhorn, Jr. (Denise) of Summerdale, AL, Sarah Nell Miller (John) of Ponce de Leon, FL, Sharon Elledge (Michael) of Lillington, NC, Samuel and Monk (Matea) of Fishers, IN; and her siblings, Wren Leavins of Bonifay, FL, Sonia Anderson of Bonifay, FL, Donald Leavins (Pamela) of Bonifay, FL, June Leavins of Arkansas and Julie Cox (Palmer) of Bonifay, FL. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM, at 2:00 PM and on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM. Visitation was held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home (2744 W Magnolia Ave, Samson, AL 36477).
