He was loved and cherished by many people including: wife: Linda Jernigan; daughter: Shannon Dowling (Sam); brother: Mike Jernigan; grandchildren: Peyton Dowling and Taylor Dowling; great-grandchild: Ean Adams; parents: Paul Miller Jernigan and Vanera Pate Jernigan; parents-in-law: John Amerson and Katie Amerson; siblings: Jimmy Jernigan (Marcia Jernigan), Jerri Casey, Barbara Jernigan, Jeanette Harcus (Melvin Harcus); nieces and nephews: Debie Harcus Herring, Coby Webster, Kevin Amerson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Gully Springs Baptist Church (2824 US-90, Bonifay, FL 32425).
