He was predeceased by : his parents, Tommy Braxton and Ruth Braxton; his brother Attorney Wayne G. Braxton; his uncle Joe; his aunt Hazel Ferrell; and his parents-in-law, W. J. and Etta Bradley.

He is survived by : his wife Kathy Braxton of Bonifay; his daughter Bethany Riley (Shawn) of Slocomb, AL; his grandsons, Luke and Josh Riley of Slocomb, AL; his sister Jennifer Braxton of Chipley, FL; his sister-in-law Lota Kay Braxton of Chipley, FL; his nieces and nephews, Jamison Cullifer, David Bryant (Lea), Ashleigh Taylor (Dave), Terri Lee (Bryan) and Tanya Champion (Jason); and his siblings-in-law, Terry and Janice Richards of Bonifay.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Calvary Baptist Church (595 Son-In-Law Rd, Bonifay, FL 32425). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
