In loving memory of Friedhelm Marunde of Bonita Springs, Florida, who departed this world on May 27, 2025 at the age of 90. Friedhelm leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Roberta; his child Kimary; and his parents, Elizabeth Marunde and Alfred Marunde. He is survived by: his daughter Kristin; his sister Christel Freeman (late Walter); his sister-in-law Nadine Myers; his nieces, Jennifer Newton (Zach) and Heather Sorrells (Greg); his grandchildren, Nathan and Olivia; his nephews, Steven Cross and Jeffrey Cross (Lea); his great-nephews, Christopher, Phillip, Aaron and Adam; and his friend Patricia Witte.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 4th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church (305 Circle Ave, Forest Park, IL 60130).
Both became active members at Hope Lutheran Church, serving on the Board of Elders and the Hope Foundation.
